Contrary to perceptions, Cannes is far from just a place of high-end directors and cinephiles.
In the past five years, she's worked with high-end directors like Woody Allen, Terrence Malick and Brian De Palma.
"It looks like Macy's but a bit more high-end," Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, creative director at Barneys in the early '90s, told me, adding, "It's so out of step with where things are going".
"The current iPhone portfolio is under-performing and Apple is at risk of being trapped in a pincer movement between rival 3-inch Android models at the low-end and 5-inch Android models at the high-end," said Neil Mawston, Executive Director at Strategy Analytics, in a statement.
"We've really taken the cream off the top in terms of selling to the premium, high-end markets," said Steve Koenig, director of industry analysis for the CEA, adding that the industry needs a new catalyst to ignite growth.
We spent at least a million dollars on a really high-end teaching course professional actors, directors, everything.
"Many people who have done such extensions assume that the value of adding this space is proportionate to the rest of the house," says Oliver Hooper, director at high-end buying advisors Huntly Hooper.
"Solectron didn't miss a beat, which was, frankly, amazing," says Susan Graham, Sun's director of high-end supply management.
"It's the guy with all the money that likes the floating stairs," said Brad Leslie, director of high-end design at downtown Los Angeles glass installation, design and repair company Giroux Glass, Inc. "But we get requests for it all the time now".
"We purposely came to market with a high-quality look for our accessories, because we felt like we wanted to ally with high-end lingerie," said Donna Faro, Lelo's director of sales and marketing for North and South America.
