After three years of follow-up, the researchers found, the high-tech group had fared no better than the "call 911″ group.
Roger Harrop, a speaker on international business growth, who was group chief executive of a FTSE high-tech group, kicked off the discussion by arguing that these days it is not enough for organisations to be good at what they do; they have to be exceptional.
"They really are interested in taking risks," says Ron Maheu, chairman of Cooper's national high-tech group.
These extremely oversold readings helped buoy prices of QQQQ component stocks, as the high-tech group has perhaps seen more than its share of selling in the wake of mixed earnings reports.
"They've produced a train wreck again but at least it is not as bad a wreck as it could have been," one lobbyist for a high-tech group told ScienceInsider, asking for anonymity because the group has already begun enlisting lawmakers to protect the credit in 2015.
"There isn't a significant player in the V.C. industry that hasn't taken a serious look at Israel," says Larry Buchsbaum, manager of the high-tech group at the accounting and consulting firm, Coopers and Lybrand, who recently toured the Israeli technology market.
The copyright issue "cuts through all these different coalitions we had built up over time" among high-tech groups, he said.
"The consolidation between these two French high-tech groups will pave the way for the creation of a major European industrial player," the finance minister, Nicolas Sarkozy, and the defense minister, Michelle Alliot-Marie, said in a joint statement.
Rogers said earlier this month lawmakers "are ready to move" on his bill in April and he discussed the legislation with privacy and high-tech groups.
