The fast, polarized, High Resolution module is validated against the statistically exact polarized Monte Carlo module for limb-scatter observations in the UV visible NIR spectral range and is found to be accurate to within 0.2% in its fully polarized mode.
It is a cylindrical phantom of 20-cm length and 20-cm diameter, containing several test modules: a solid image uniformity module (CTP486), a 21-line pair and point source high resolution module (CTP528), a module for slice width, sensitometry and pixel size evaluation (CTP401), and a low-contrast module (CTP515).
