The findings of this mixed method design study indicated a high level of writing anxiety, with cognitive anxiety as its main type, as reflected in preoccupation with performance and high expectations, and fear of teacher's negative feedback, low self-confidence and poor linguistic knowledge as its main sources.
The time constraints of a weekly sketch-comedy show, for which skits are always being modified and new lines learned at the last minute, make it impossible to produce the highest levels of written and performed comedy, such as the kind we see on "Seinfeld".
The findings indicate that high levels of writing anxiety could primarily be attributed to writing tests, cognitive and linguistic factors.

The first statistical analysis yielded a strong positive relationship between essay performance and topic knowledge, r=.79, N=60,.p<.01, indicating that high levels of writing performance are associated with high scores in topic knowledge as shown in Table 1 below.
On indication of that is that no sample was selected from the highest level of writing, resulting in a possible over-representation of the lower levels of writing.
Ask one Stanford University Academic Council faculty member to write a letter on the student's behalf, attesting to a high level of academic writing and composition skill in the foreign language.
