The Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness took place in Busan, Republic of Korea, from 29 November to 1 December 2011.
The high level forum is supported by the United Nations, including WFP, FAO, UNICEF, WHO, UNDP, IFAD, and the World Bank, the European Union, USAID, German Agency for International Cooperation and Belgian Development Agency.
Since the 4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan (82), the understanding of aid coordination processes has broadened its scope beyond aid promoting country ownership and sustainability (82, 83).
In response, a "New Deal for engagement in Fragile States" was promoted at the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness at Busan [ 5], with a renewed focus on the contribution of health care to stabilisation and state-building [ 6], and on meeting immediate health service needs, while simultaneously building governance and capacity in the public healthcare system [ 7, 8].
Instead, Mr. Calderón set up the high-level forums in an effort to show that the Mexican government was willing to engage its critics and listen to suggestions.
Also, banks, regulators, and others affected by derisking in the Caribbean have raised the issue at high-level forums, including the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, FSB, and meetings of CARICOM heads of government and central bank governors.
