Emergency Department UKMMC personnel have a high competency level in intubation with an acceptable complication rate.
The importance of context in measuring the higher competency levels means that such tools cannot simply be copied and used in other working environments.
For example, the Anaesthetists' Non-Technical Skills System (ANTS) and the Non-Technical Skills System (NOTECHS) are available for the assessment of safety competencies in their respective clinical situations (the higher competency levels).
Written examinations such as multiple choice questions, however, tend to measure the potential to perform rather than actual work performance, and more advanced trainees should be assessed through direct observation in simulation scenarios or real practice for the higher competency levels.
What this might mean for the composition of the primary care team is reported in Table 3, based on mapping of competencies onto occupations, reflecting the highest competency level implied by the educational objectives of current undergraduate training in Australia.

At the fourth-grade level for the state's English Language Arts competency tests, 89percentt of the district's students performed at competency levels or above; on the math tests, 96percentt performed at that level or higher.
Furthermore, the competency distribution (Fig. 4) indicates that the highest performers were found in the group that chose business and administration, although this group was composed of young adults from all competency levels.
