The phrase "high appetite" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to describe someone who has a strong desire or craving for food or, metaphorically, for something else, such as knowledge or experiences.
Example: "After the long hike, I had a high appetite and couldn't wait to dig into dinner."
Alternatives: "great appetite" or "strong appetite."
