The term "heritage fund" is correct and usable in written English.
It is typically used to refer to an organization that provides financial support for the preservation of cultural heritage, such as historical buildings, artifacts, and documents. For example, "The government has allocated money to the local heritage fund for the restoration of the old palace."
To counter the Ransom Center, Britain's national-heritage fund changed a rule prohibiting public money from being spent on material less than twenty years old; the exclusion was reduced to ten years.
Even a well-functioning state, be it democratic or authoritarian, will fail to conserve monuments unless local people see an interest in maintaining their heritage and using it rationally, says Vincent Michael, new chairman of the Global Heritage Fund (GHF), based in California.

After six years of restoration funded by the Hong Kong-based China Heritage Fund, the Zhong Zheng Dian, as it's known in Chinese, is back, rebuilt from the ground up, though it won't be open to the public for at least two years according to officials at the Forbidden City's Palace Museum, the Beijing News said (in Chinese).
