The comparable energy design options analysed are (1) district heating (reference design), (2) district heating with building integrated photovoltaic panels, (3) ground source heat pump, and (4) ground source heat pump with building-integrated photovoltaic panels.
All the scenarios including district heating (A2 to A4, B) had a higher overall efficiency than scenarios without district heating (reference case and A1).
Intersect genes common to query and heat reference signatures contained genes known to participate in heat responsive pathways, particularly the heat shock proteins (mt-HSP At4g25200; sm-HSP At2g29500, sm-HSP At2g19310, HSP 17.6 At17.6540).

To first assess the reliability of IVT- and DASL-based platforms in expression profiling of artificially degraded reference RNA samples, we performed these two assays on brain and pooled reference RNA heated at 95°C for 0 (intact RNA), 10, 30, and 60 minutes (Additional File 1).
