"heard mentioned" is a correct phrase in written English.
It is typically used to describe something that was heard being talked about or mentioned by someone else. It can also be used to indicate that the speaker only heard a mention of something, rather than having any direct knowledge or experience with it themselves. Example: I overheard my coworkers talking about a new project that our department will be working on. They were discussing the details and timeline, but I only caught bits and pieces as I walked by. I heard mentioned that it will involve collaborating with another team and presenting our findings at the next company meeting.
