The banking and insurance services provider Fortis has hired John Sullivan as the United States head of syndications in its capital markets group.
He brought it to Ed Wilson, the head of NBC's syndication division.
"The debt markets this year were definitely a study in contrasts," said William White, head of global debt syndication at Morgan Stanley.
"January made a great quarter in and of itself," said Mark Siegel, a managing director and head of worldwide debt syndication at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
"Global markets have suffered, but for Asia, particularly North Asia, it's been business as usual," said Stephen Metcalfe, head of Asian equity syndication for Credit Suisse First Boston, who helped sell $286 million of shares for China Oilfield Services in November.
Warner put three series, including "Head of the Class," into syndication this year.
The bridegroom's father retired as the head of the entertainment and syndication group at the Hearst Corporation in New York, where he is now a senior adviser.
