While cells from untreated gliomas often have over-representation of chromosome 7, chromosome 22 is typically under-represented.
However, the most striking result was that of 6 different networks, the MIC library was the only one to have over-representation of NF-κB.
We can extend this idea further by proposing that specific transcripts may have over-representation of many specific codons from split boxes for multiple amino acids, which could lead to translational regulation by multiple tRNA modifications.
Coincidently, the genes exhibiting these profiles were found to have over-representation of those involved in carbohydrate, energy and lipid metabolism, along with those involved in transporter activities and vesicular trafficking.
