An investigation last month by the bureau showed that London's authorities have rehoused 32,643 households outside the city, with often devastating effects on families, jobs and children's education.
According to the city, authorities have rehoused nearly 6,500 migrants since then.
"We are also making sure they get rehoused, and we have received guarantees to that effect from the authorities: asylum seekers will be housed in refugee centers and others will be placed in emergency shelters".

Elsewhere, at least 20 children have become so concerned at the absence of information that they have run away from the centres where they have been rehoused, hoping to continue their attempts to come to the UK illegally by smuggling themselves on to lorries.
At the time she died, of an accidental overdose, she had been rehoused and was working to get her drug use under control.
