And now, thinking about it, the idea that I had oversupplied myself seemed to make a lot of sense.
Ms. Barnes argues that the gun companies negligently fail to supervise how their handguns are distributed and have oversupplied dealers in states with lax gun control laws, like Georgia, who then sell guns illegally to buyers in states with tough gun laws like New York.
"Cyrix had oversupplied the market with $30 chips, and now that it is gone the supply will be worked out, and the prices [of microprocessors] are likely to either go up or stabilize," says Gwennap.
"We increase supply when we have oversupply.
Then, when prices slip, you have oversupply in the market.
"If you really had oversupply, your electricity price should be dirt cheap, but I don't see that, your prices are high.
"We have oversupply in the summer when they have got high demand, and we have got undersupply in the winter when they have got stuff to give to us".
With so many solar panels in California, "we may find ourselves in periods of time when we have oversupply, overgeneration," said Clyde Loutan, senior adviser for renewables integration at the California Independent System Operator, which runs the state's grid.
But what's happening is you have oversupply and plunging prices and that's just being exacerbated by Europe".
