Gene annotations were exported from HarvEST:Barley version 1.68.
Gene annotation was accomplished using HarvEST: Wheat version 1.57 (http://www.harvest.ucr.edu/) and Affymetrix NetAffx.
The probe sets were annotated using HarvEST:Barley (version 1.47) assembly 21 [ 42].
For annotation purposes, blastx (e value cutoff = e−10) data was exported from HarvEST:Barley version 1.50 (http://harvest.ucr.edu).ucr.edu
For annotation purposes, BLASTX (E-score cutoff = e-10) data was exported from HarvEST:Barley version 1.68 http://harvest.ucr.edu/.ucr.edu/
All the trimmed reads were mapped (without mismatch) to barley expressed sequence tag (EST) sequences retrieved from the HarvEST:Barley (version 1.83) database (http://harvest.ucr.edu).ucr.edu
The harvEST:Barley (version 1.35; http://harvest.ucr.edu/), Munich Information Center for Protein Sequence [ 71] and Universal Protein Resource [ 72], were used to conduct gene functional annotation in addition to manual editing.
To estimate the number of new ESTs and unigenes generated in this work, we compared the new citrus ESTs and unigenes with the 229,570 Citrus ESTs in the HarvEST database, version 1.25, as of June 9th 2009, using BLASTN and Perl scripts.
An additional search in HarvEST wheat, version 1.13 [ 55] and in all NCBI cDNA libraries of wheat detected several ESTs (Expressed Sequence Tags) homologous to rice and Arabidopsis PDI-like genes; ninety sequences were randomly selected among those exceeding 350 bp and were cloned by RT-PCR using an RNA mixture from different bread wheat cv CS tissues as template.
It was released on December 26 , 2009in Region 2, and on December 23, 2009 in Region 4. As with "Blue Harvest", a limited edition version is available in the region 2 version, and comes with collectible items, including a T-shirt of The Giant Chicken as Boba Fett.
