The bank reported 34 billion yen ($314 million) in net income for the half year ended Sept. 30, up 28percentt from the period in 2002.
In the half year ended Dec. 31, 2005 it brought in underlying earnings of $1.16 billion.
Its revenues fell 3% in the half year ended Sept. 30, even as the rest of the company saw double-digit growth.
