Our findings yield a new design concept of cell repelling and trapping surfaces which are applicable to cell guiding methods and single or multiple cell confinement on cell culture substrates, and thus may contribute to development of more advanced biomaterials.
We call the former type alignment guided methods and the latter de novo methods.
When a change is detected, the algorithm helps the population adapt to the new environment through building a dynamic evolutionary environment model, which enhances the diversity of the population by the guided method, and makes the environment and population evolve simultaneously.
