"It's very unlikely although your chances are better if they have a guarantor," says Mr Sekhon.
In Italy, a team president can act as a personal guarantor, said Gianni Infantino, deputy general secretary of UEFA.
"Huge risks have been transferred from struggling governments and banks onto the E.C.B.'s books, with taxpayers as the ultimate guarantor," said Mats Persson, director of Open Europe, an organization skeptical of the monetary union, backed by British business executives.
"Because we are not making a lot of money, we had to have our parents as guarantors," Megan said.
