A wide range of benefits will flow from a concerted effort to alter our energy economy now, including sustainable energy job growth, reductions in the health and economic costs of climate change, and the restoration of ecosystems and revitalisation of ecosystem services.

Both figures illustrate that the growth of Norway spruce oscillates stronger than European beech with more pronounced growth reductions in dry years.
However, if this were the case, we might still expect to find a long-term difference as trees that experience droughts often have long-term growth reductions (Anderegg et al. 2015).
