Four PROs had full evidence of ability to detect change and reported the results of analysis undertaken with the specific aim of testing within-group responsiveness for all sub-scales as well as total score (as appropriate): ESI-55, Performance, subjective evaluation and socio-demographic data (PESOS), Quality of Life in Epilepsy 31 (QOLIE-31) and Quality of Life in Epilepsy 89 (QOLIE-89).
Svensson's method for analyzing agreement in paired ordinal data was used to study test-retest reliability (hypothesis: no change in the dialysis group) and responsiveness (hypothesis: a positive change, improvement, in the cardiac rehabilitation group).
A sample of 95 patients with acromegaly was obtained, 36 (37.9%) of them were included in the group of responsiveness to change, and 59 (62.1%) in the reliability group.
Group-level responsiveness was investigated by the "standardized response mean" (SRM) statistic.
Known-groups validity was also studied comparing IADL Scale according to different groups, and responsiveness was assessed by means of effect sizes.
