The largest difference in GO terms enriched in the group of correlates could be seen in those for lymphocyte activation, and this effect was strongest when the viral load phenotypes were contrasted.
The body of evidence for this group of correlates was downgraded to very low on the basis of weak or inconsistent associations; for example, the direction of association between care deferred because of cost and men's health literacy was inconsistent between the two relevant studies [ 33, 34].
In contrast, Spearman rank correlation between mRNA levels and plaque ages performed within each tercile resulted in a group of correlating genes in the low plaque age tercile that was significantly enriched with genes in the oxidative phosphorylation pathway (p = 0.009) (Tables S6 and S9).
For the latter group, the k-means clustering was determined to be a better representation of the profiles because there was a tighter group of correlating genes in the clusters.
Notably, demographic and substance use variables were the weakest groups of correlates.
Three groups of correlates were assessed: 1) socio-demographic, 2) health-related and 3) psychosocial correlates.

Unsupervised hierarchical clustering of samples (Fig 1A) reveals 3 main groups of correlated samples according to their global gene expression profiles i.e., late ovarian samples (D60 to D110, correlation coefficient R = 0.78), middle and late gonad samples of androgen-treated fish gonads (D27 to D110, R = 0.37) and middle and late testicular samples (D27 to D110, R = 0.26).
According to this analysis, the essential oils of plants harvested from Bou Arada, Bahra, and Dhrea Ben Jouder were negatively correlated with axis 1 and with yeast strains (which were positively correlated with the horizontal factor); this group of oils correlated positively with mycetes strains (negatively correlated with horizontal axis).
In table 2 is shown that the expression measured with 4 probes correlated negative and significantly with proteasome expression level whereas another group of probes correlated significantly positive.
Of note, the level of leukocyte-derived MPs and absolute leukocyte count were not correlated, nor was the level of platelet MPs and platelet count in each group of patients correlated (data not shown).
