For the State effect, Group by State effect and State by Valence interaction and Group by State by Valence, we found that the minimum cluster sizes were, respectively, of 323, 1030, 1580 and 3580 contiguous voxels with the data thresholded at an uncorrected voxelwise p-value of p = 0.001, p = 0.01, p = 0.02 and p = 0.05 respectively.

There was only one cluster showing a Group by State by Valence interaction, which was located in the right insula (3667 voxels, corrected p<0.05, Fig. 2.A).

Baseline demographic variables (education, ethnicity, household composition) will be compared by group using a two-factor (group-by-state) model, with continuous responses assumed to be approximately normally distributed and categorical responses assumed to be binomially distributed.
