We collected spiders from aerial [ 17] traps from two locations (wheat and grass fields respectively) near the Seale-Hayne Field Station, Devon, UK and compared endosymbiont infection frequencies in these spiders with those obtained from suction samples of the ground population at the same locations.

One suggestion is to highlight the interesting contradiction that arose from finding no ticks in the ground CDC light traps (CDC-LTs) despite the statement that "ground populations of A. tapirellum are quite abundant" during the sampling period.
All of the five extant populations in Lake Biwa are small, and some have been under weed control (weed clipping above ground: populations 1 and 5), thus suppressing genetic diversity and promoting crossing among kin individuals within a population.
In addition, the majority of ticks were collected at the beginning of the dry-wet transition period in May 2010 (Table 2), when ground populations of A. tapirellum are quite abundant and monkeys may come to the ground to feed on ripe and over-ripe fruits.

All studies resolve multiexponential excited-state decay kinetics, typically ascribed to either complex nonexponential dynamics arising from a single ground-state population (the "homogeneous perspective") or an ensemble of ground-state subpopulations, each exhibiting single-exponential dynamics (the "inhomogeneous perspective").
