Dr. Brown, you write in your book, Daring Greatly, that we need to own our story, so I thought I would write you this open letter and share with you how your work has been helping me cope with my shame.
If we can do all of that, and the demographics of higher education are changing so greatly, why do we need the physical plant called the college?
But our ideas about what we "need" have greatly expanded.

At the same time, of course, we need to greatly improve our commitment to efficiency and conservation.
Millions of homes and buildings need to be weatherized, our transportation system needs to be energy efficient and we need to greatly accelerate the progress we are already seeing in wind, solar, geothermal, biomass and other forms of sustainable energy.
