While Liriodendron shows the greatest overall level of conservation of the inferred ancestral angiosperm gene clusters – retaining 12 out of 14 of them – several other species have retained equally as many (12/14; Citrullus) or nearly as many (11/14; Phoenix, Vitis, Carica and Ricinus), though the combinations of conserved clusters vary among species.

Beneficiaries with greater levels of university or college education perceived a greater overall level of ecosystem service provision.
Thus, the species pair is more genetically, morphologically, and behaviorally distinct than the two ecotype pairs, and represents a greater overall level of evolutionary divergence.
However, the rise in imports has been greater than the decline of production, resulting in a greater overall level of supply, with rice availability increasing in all countries.
The CGH analysis did reveal that strains A7-35-23 and C45 had a greater overall level of sequence divergence from H99; this result is consistent with the fact that these strains have a VNII molecular type compared with the VNI subtype of strain H99 [ 24].
Species classified as having greater recruitment around conspecifics, according to the forest inventory data, suffered greater overall levels of mortality in our field experiment.
As expected, species with small population sizes that dispersed short distances had greater overall levels of genetic differentiation than did species with large population sizes that dispersed greater distances (Fig. S3).
In a United States study of Florida adolescents aged 13 to 14 years, walking to school was associated with greater overall levels of vigorous physical activity throughout the day compared with travelling by car, bus, or train [ 30].
Interestingly, while we can recognize distinct gene pairs in S. cerevisiae that have maintained their adjacency across many yeast species, and that the most closely related species tend to have a higher level of conservation of specific pairs, the more distantly related species have similar or greater overall levels of adjacent gene pairing, even if the exact pairs differ.
Transcripts with sequence homology to every TE class were more frequent in the copperhead liver transcriptome (fig. 7 and supplementary table S11, Supplementary Material online), with 23-fold greater overall levels of transcription of TEs in the copperhead compared with the python, including many different TE classes that were inferred to be recently active from the genomic data.
Although we surveyed liver rather than gametic tissues for TE activity, the 23-fold greater overall levels of TE-related transcripts in the copperhead than in the python (fig. 7) suggests that TE transcription may be generally more active in the copperhead.
