It can be expected, however, that the measurement error might become comparable to the measured amplitudes when considering very large aberrations (greater than 3 4 rad rms).
Crucially, subjects showing the highest degree of prefrontal activation with placebo showed the greatest perceptual aberrations and ideas or delusions of reference in response to ketamine (Corlett et al, 2006).
It's interesting to see surveys that suggest single men being keener on having kids than single women (in one US study, 27% of males aged 35-44, againstnst only 16% of females), but when you also read material citing supposedly trailblazing male attitudes in Holland and the great liberal aberration that is Portland, Oregon, it's not exactly convincing.
In particular, in strongly aberrated area, artefacts arise due to the rapid decrease of signal intensity with depth, as visible in the spherical aberration amplitude map: at intermediate depth (40 60 μm), the folds introduce negative spherical aberration; however at greater depth (≥80 μm) the sign of the measured spherical aberration changes in regions with large aberrations.
Experimentally, it is found that at high luminances with pupils below three millimetres (0.12 inch) in diameter the visual acuity is not improved by further reduction of the diameter; increasing the pupil size beyond this reduces acuity, presumably because of the greater optical aberrations.
This finding is supported by previous studies showing that long-term exposure (>8 years) induced greater chromosomal aberrations.
