The key resource patches include dry and wet season grazing areas (hereafter referred to as grazing areas), variety of habitats, salt licks, watering points and migratory corridors, which link seasonal grazing areas with settlements and markets (Behnke and Freudenberger 2013).
The expansion of cropland into grazing areas enlarges the option space, but grazing constraints become increasingly important.
