For scoring, a five-grade impairment scale (1: very annoying, 2: annoying, 3: slightly annoying, 4: perceptible, but not annoying, 5: imperceptible) was used.
Each person was presented with ten pairs of signals (original and watermarked) and then asked to give performance scores using the 5-grade impairment scale given in Table 1.
