Plotting the environmental DALYs per capita versus the GNI shows a strong decrease in environmental burden as GNI increases, before stabilizing around 15 DALYs/1 000 capita.
Classified as a lower middle-income country, Mongolia's GNI increased to $3,160 in 2012, up from $1,630 in 2010 [ 14, 15].
