It's a shame; not only are nuts quite ridiculously nutritious but, as anyone who's ever shelled out (sorry) for a tiny glass of pistachios in a pub will know, they're a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
And if armed with a calculator, three deep at the bar, you would discover that a standard glass of wine in a pub is now 2.3 units as at 175ml, it is 50ml larger than it was in 1985 and on average 5% stronger.
While it is generally a good idea to be punctual, it is not at all out of the ordinary for meetings to begin late, run over time, or simply continue after-hours over a "caña" (short glass of beer) in a pub or cafe.
The questionnaire defined a glass as, "a pub measure of spirits, half a pint of lager or cider, a wine glass of wine".
The past is shattered like a glass hurled at a pub wall.
So the glass company added a pub, furnished with wide pine tables and long benches.
This one sounds right at home in a pub with beer glasses raised in a toast to a beloved woman.
The next time you catch me on the campaign trail in a pub, I will have a glass of orange juice in my hand.
