In the chronic treatment cells, the 1 ppm dose gave viability rates of 92.1%, 98.5%, 114.5%, and 120% for Days 2, 5, 8, and 14, respectively, whereas the 5 ppm gave viability rates of 42.9%, 45.9%, 67.1%, and 56.7% for Days 2, 5, 8, and 14, respectively.
According to caucus rules, a candidate must have support from 15% of caucus-goers in any given precinct to reach "viability".
After removal of supernatants, the cells were washed with PBS and visually given a viability score, assessing cells as either normal, slightly inhibited, growth inhibited or dead.
