"It beggars belief that Labour should accept money from a lottery-funded charity that surely needs all the money it can get to fund its clubs for disadvantaged schoolchildren.
"If we were given the money we used to get to fund these capital projects we wouldn't have to raid the revenue budget and we could have extra teachers and teaching assistants.
"And so, all of a sudden, when you're saying, 'Well, you know, Mr. Chairman, we're going to have to take this away from you and put it in a single agency, you don't get to fund it anymore,' it kind of makes the chairman nervous".
By definition each of those VCs (unless they are a micro VC – and one who doesn't mind 5% ownership) will view you as a sort of "option" where they might get to fund the next round if you do well.
I just care about doing the right thing: making fund one and fund two work and, hopefully, when we get to fund three in five years, it'll give our investors and entrepreneurs even more confidence in the iFly.vc brand and team.
