Have a points chart and award points for things like being polite, waiting for turns, getting started on homework, staying on task, completing tasks, following instructions, playing well with siblings and so on.
Perhaps give the child an awards book and award points for good behavior like sitting quietly at desk for 10 minutes, getting started on tasks, staying on tasks, completing tasks, sharing well with others and so on.
