"Just getting more and more data doesn't necessarily mean we're getting relevance," says Wayne Berkowitz, the Sydney-based publisher of Superfuture, the pioneering curated travel site.
Without paying extra, you don't really get better relevance.
But they got the relevance of oil backward.
That's just trying to show off some knowledge when it's got no relevance to anything.
"We think the printed product has got a relevance that is going to endure," says Gavin.
"The surname's definitely not been a help, that's for sure, but it's got no relevance to me at all," he said.
Knowing a great deal about programming could even be a disadvantage, because a professional programmer generally aims at beautiful, well-programmed computer scripts, whereas bioinformatics is all about getting biological relevance from your data.
And what does the Big Dog get? Resurrection, redemption, relevance, a reflected patina of Obama integrity and fidelity; the chance to outshine the upstart who outmaneuvered his wife and, by extension, him in 2008.
Here, as expected, search ads get the highest relevance rating from Nielsen's global panel of respondents (42%), followed by video ads (36%), ads on social networks (36%) and then banner ads (33%).
But in the real world, if people don't know why the topic is important to them, they won't pay attention, and they won't be listening when you get around to relevance at the end of your talk.
