At the start of term, I was finding it hard to get into studying.
The best experience you can get is not a B.F.A. or an M.F.A. but the best academic program you can get into, studying English or drama or history or what-have-you, doing as much acting as you can at your university or local theater, and then coming to New York to network, meet casting agents and do Off Broadway theater.
