The comparison of these particular results with published gene expression profile analyses performed using the same experimental procedure to study cultured promastigotes in stationary phase versus amastigotes revealed considerable differences (approximately 95% of the up-regulated genes were different).
The majority (71.6%) of bivalently H3K4&K27me3 and H3K27me3 only (69.3%) marked genes differed between EP156T and PC3, while only minor proportions of genes were different within the H3K4me3 and Neither groups (Figure 2D).
But the breast and colon cancer genes were different.
