Out of 18534 protein coding genes for which both genomic locations and a unique gene name could be retrieved, 2311 genes are fully inside a CNV region.
Despite the fact that the β-globin genes are fully expressed and the locus is developmentally regulated in transgenic mice there have been noticeable differences in the way the human locus is regulated in mice.
Thus, while 2 genes are fully duplicated (Glo1 and Dnahc8) and two others are partially duplicated (Btbd9 and Glp1r), only Glo1 shows a statistically significant increase in expression as a result of the duplication.
To test cross-species functionality of the D. pseudoobscura fosmid in D. melanogaster we rescued classical mutants of shotgun (shg) and sar1 to viability and flight ability with the shg and sar1 fosmids, respectively (Table 1) demonstrating that the D. pseudoobscura genes are fully functional in D. melanogaster.
A comparative analysis with other Drosophila genomes and expression experiments by RT-PCR discarded the lds annotation and has unveiled two novel genes flanking the inversion breakpoint, Dlh in region C and Mdp in region D. Three observations suggest that these two genes are fully functional.
IEs, present in a third of all CCMP1545 genes, are fully functional spliceosomal introns.

We first verified that the sensing gene circuit, assembled from bacteria genes, was fully expressed in later plant generations.
The latter module (21 genes) is fully conserved in Ralstonia picketti 12J, indicating a horizontal transfer event.
Mutated genes were fully sequenced.
