As the evidences show that green product design and reverse logistics product disposition are interrelated, firms ought to undertake environmentally proactive approaches to generate benefits from resources that are undeservingly discarded as landfill waste.

Here the potential to generate benefits from applying a REDD-regime is proposed with reference to sampling and non-sampling errors that influence the reliability of estimated activity data and emission factors.

The simulation study indicates that countries with medium or low deforestation and degradation-rates are not in a position to generate benefit from REDD when the uncertainties of carbon stock estimates are included in calculations as requested in a REDD certification process.

A more detailed understanding of the situation is needed but on the available evidence, the prospects for generating sustained benefits from these protected springs appear to be feasible if the constraint on the committee's autonomy can be overcome through focused local and political action.
