However, at this juncture, the observed intra-genera similarities and inter-genera differences on amino acid composition of these peptide motifs may provide cues for better understanding and characterizing the silk properties of the six silkmoths we investigated in this study.
For each DNA region, we computed the matrix of average number of differences between pairs of sequences (pairwise differences) within and between host genera to test whether bacterial communities harbored by the two genera differed in genetic diversity.
When calculated across genera, the difference between the actual number of threatened species per genus and the expected number of threatened species per genus would, under the null hypothesis, have a mean of zero.
In comparison, the genera exhibit differences in the overall performance of corresponding probes.
The mitochondrial genomes of G. barbadense and G. hirsutum [ 41] are largely similar; however, as observed in other genera, many differences exist even between these closely related species (Table 1).
