[New York Times] New York is the first state to open its own emergency gasoline reserve.
New York is creating a gasoline reserve to prevent shortages during disasters, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's office announced in a news release on Saturday.
The reserve is expected to hold three million gallons of fuel, Mr. Cuomo's office said, and it would be the first state gasoline reserve in the nation.
