Our methodology provides a flexible framework for fusing state estimates from decoding algorithms with different properties and hopefully will encourage multimodal experiments for improved control of sophisticated neural prosthetic devices.
Cells under a well-fed condition maintain their mitochondria in a separated (or fragmented) state, while under fasting or starved conditions, mitochondria tend to persist in a connected (or fused) state (Gomes et al, 2011).
