Understanding the chemical structure, physiochemical, and chemical-informatic properties of these natural product compounds will give clues for further modifications required in their structures responsible for their biological activities.
Further modifications required for formation of the known natural phenylpropenes include additional hydroxylation of the benzene ring, methylation of any of the hydroxyl groups on the benzene ring, and formation of a methylenedioxy bridge (Figure 1).
Further modification is required to augment consolidation such as through accelerated dewatering (vick drains) and atmospheric drying (thin lifts).
For each modification, the fit indices were again examined to determine whether further modification was required.
