The various functions of human resources management in health care systems of Canada, the United States of America, Germany and various developing countries have been briefly examined.
We collate and analyse new and existing quantitative and qualitative data on the availability, distribution, roles and functions of human resources in 68 low- and middle-income countries that together account for over 95% of maternal and child deaths worldwide.
