Aspera can perform much faster transfers than FTP, resulting in a very convenient way of transferring potentially very large datasets.
An untuned prototype supporting fine-grained protection of the real-world application WU-FTP resulted in less than a 15% slowdown while demonstrating CuPIDS' ability to quickly detect illegitimate behavior, raise an alarm, automatically repair the damage done by the fault or attack, allow the application to resume execution, and export a signature for the activity leading up to the error.
Figure 9(b) further indicates that if the FAPs transmits voice together with data (FTP I + VoIP), the results are rather in favor of PS than of SOS if the FAPs are positioned in sufficient distance from the house boundary (at least 1.5 m for MHz and at least 2 m for MHz).

At the time the challenge was closed, six groups had uploaded consistent results to the challenge FTP server.
