We also believe that the ELO model could help identify areas for fruitful research where current implementation evidence is scant (as in the case for organizational culture change strategies).
In PD, the most fruitful feedback source for implementation into closed-loop DBS systems in the short-to-medium term is the LFP, given that it can be recorded from the stimulating electrode without further intervention and during stimulation.
However, we do not see it as fruitful to optimise our current implementation: we believe the disappointing results are caused by two other issues.
