We have examined all the available H. parasuis sequences (86,701nt, mainly in ORFs) and find, in addition to the one copy of this repeat described by Bigas et al., four copies of the Hin-type USS, fourteen copies of the Apl-type USS, and seventeen copies of sequences differing at single positions from the Apl-type USS.
MMAIII was detected in saliva samples from each of the APL patients.
The maximal differences were seen in SNORD113-3 SNORD114-2, SNORD114-3 and SNORD114-3, for which the expression was many folds higher in the BM samples from the 3 APL cases compared with the samples from 2 cases with other acute myeloid leukemia (AML) subtypes, 10 cases with multiple myeloma (MM), a case with MM in remission and a case with large B-cell lymphoma infiltrating the BM.
