Ser and Gly were synthesized from GOC that origin from photorespiration but not the GOC cycle.
In this case, the C enrichment of Ser1 should be diluted by half regardless of the labeling pattern of GL. (3) Ser was synthesized from GOC through photorespiration (oxygenation of ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate, RuBP).
(4) Ser was synthesized from GOC via the GOC cycle, as reported by Zheng et al. [ 26]; in this case, Ser1 origin solely from GL2, whose C enrichment should be zero using [1, 3-C]GL as substrate.
Since Ser and Gly were synthesized from GOC, which was generated from 2P-glycolate, why were they not diluted by CO2? Obviously, only when the carbon atoms in position 1 and position 2 of pentose-5-phosphate (P5P1 and P5P2) were derived solely from GL could GOC retain a high level of C enrichment.

Increasing numbers of GO curators from the GOC, as well as some groups external to the GOC, use Protein2GO, thus having quality control mechanisms in place at the time an annotation is created is important to these groups as it significantly reduces annotation errors.
While in route 4, glycerol was converted into ACoA and then GOC through the GOC cycle.
This difference in coverage is illustrated by the annotation statistics from the database of the UniProt GO Annotation project (UniProt-GOA) that includes GO annotation from all of the GOC members [ 5]; as of November 2013, GOC provides over 200 million annotations, with around 99% of these being automatically created [ 10, 11].

Input along the CS (blue) pathway via mfs from the pontine nuclei enters the cerebellar cortex through granule cells (GrC), which receive feedforward and feedback inhibition from Golgi cells (GoC) in the granule cell layer.
Input along the CS (turquoise) pathway via mossy fibers (mf) from the pontine nuclei enters the cerebellar cortex through granule cells (GrC), which receive feedforward and feedback inhibition from Golgi cells (GoC) in the granule cell layer.
