The influence of internal friction and strain softening on the plastic zone, stress and deformation fields and notch opening profile is examined.
Then, the influence of elastic plastic deformation, penetration depth, contact friction and strain hardening on pile-up was investigated for a wide range of materials with different elastic modulus, yield stresses, strain-hardening exponents and friction coefficients.
This reduces the amount of friction and tangential strain.
However, many factors (strain hardening and strain rate hardening, friction condition, flattening of rolls, deflection of the rolling mill and temperature, as well as their interactions) make the theoretical analysis of the rolling process very complex and time-consuming.
Recently, some researchers have simulated FSW using FEM and studied the influence of process parameters and tool geometry on material flow, welding force, and temperature and strain distributions during friction stir processing.
Marzbanrad et al. (2014) investigated the effect of tool pin profile, and Asadi et al. (2011a Tutunchilar et al. 2012a) studied the effect of the process parameters on material flow, temperature, and strain distributions during friction stir processing.
Based on the present study, three models were proposed to interpret the influence of tectonic stress on the dynamic evolution of organic matter, including friction heat, strain energy and mechanical-chemistry mechanism.

The homogeneity within the workpiece was analyzed in terms of contours, path plot, and statistics of strain distribution under different conditions regarding back pressure, strain hardening, friction, and corner angle.
In applying the penetration model we found that the coefficient of sliding friction and the target's volumetric strain have a much stronger influence on the deceleration profile than the initial target density and angle of internal friction.
