It is possible that our study suffered from a similar bias, overestimating the true β-hCG clearance time as once a declining β-hCG is established, the frequency of determinations decreased meaning that the true time of clearance is missed.
In this regard, we can view (R_{xx}^{2}(lambda )) as a frequency-by-frequency coefficient of determination.
The method and frequency of glucose determination has a significant impact on variability measures as already shown with mean absolute glucose change per hour [ 27].
Other profitable features, such as a linear relationship between 0.50 and 10.0 g l−1 tartaric acid (r = 0.9998), a 2.1% coefficient of variation (n = 8), a sampling frequency of 28 determinations per hour, and a reagent consumption of 0.15 mg sodium vanadate per determination were also achieved.
The proposed method attained an analytical frequency of 36 determinations per hour with a relative standard deviation of 1.47% for 10 measurements of 1.0 × 10−5 mol L−1 CO.
A detection limit of 7.6 × 10−8 mol L−1 and a sampling frequency of 50 determinations per hour were achieved, employing injected volumes of 100 μL and a flow rate of 2.0 mL min−1.
Application of the monitoring rules, illustrated in Figure 4, shows that the frequency of CD4 determinations can be kept low while high counts are observed.
Moreover, a different frequency in measuring LFTs, which resulted in more frequent monitoring among naïve patients taking PI-based regimens, may have led to an increased detection of toxicity in that group, although a statistically significant correlation between the frequency of LFT determinations and the risk of hepatotoxicity was not present (data not shown).
