The present study extends the relation of increased high frequency graded response activity to LFP power and to an associative learning task in human temporal association cortex.
The role of this high frequency graded response activity in human cortical function has been the subject of considerable research interest over the last decade (Jensen et al., 2007 for review).
The degree of abdominal pain/ discomfort was calculated as the product of frequency (graded 0 4; 0 = 0 1 days per week, and 4 = 6 7 days per week) and severity (graded 0 3; none; mild = hardly affects the residents; moderate = affects the residents, but does not impair ADL; and severe = impairs ADL), total score 0 12.
These coinfections may have contributed to the high frequency of grade 3 and grade 4 hepatitis observed in over one-fifth of patients during follow-up.
The initial phase I and II studies showed that myelosuppression was the principle drug-related toxicity, with a frequency of grade 3/4 neutropenia of 50% and grade 3/4 thrombocytopenia of 15% (Hanauske et al, 2001).

The lower frequency of grade 3/4 late diarrhoea in these three studies contrasts with the frequency of >20% grade 3/4 late diarrhoea observed in single-agent studies of CPT-11 administered on a weekly or every-3-week regimen and is presumably related to the lower CPT-11 doses when given in combination (Vanhoefer et al, 2001).
Remarkably, the frequency of grade 4 aGVHD in the terminal ileum or duodenum was 54% and 33.3%, respectively, whereas grade 4 aGVHD occurred in only 18.4% of the total cohort of patients with colonoscopy (without or with ileoscopy).
